Finals Entries: Cut off for the finals is August 17th. Shari will start calling the top 12 in each event prior to the cut off date. Call in’s for those not called by Shari will be August 20th from 12pm – 5pm @ 660-845-2166. Callbacks will occur on August 21st from 12pm – 5pm @ 660-845-2166 for any that Shari instructs to call back. There are still 2 full rodeos, and 2 special events left in the season so standings could change by the 17th.
Check-in at Finals: Mandatory Check in from 8am – 10am on Saturday; There will be an early check-in option for those arriving Friday from 12pm to 6pm in the office. Your back number given to you at check in will be your pass to get into the arena and grandstands for the weekend and your one buddy pass bracelet will be included in your check-in packet so it is important to check in as soon as you arrive on the grounds. IRA Cards will not get you into the arena or the grandstands – you must have your back number or buddy pass to access those areas. Stalls and shaving can be purchased in the office at the time of check in. RV hook-ups are very limited on a 1st come, 1st served basis at $40 for the weekend. Please keep in mind that no campfires are allowed on the facility grounds at any time. Showers will be available on the North side of the arena at the Wellness Center.
Entry Fee: $270 per event with $170 of that entry going into the pay-out, $40 to the personnel, $40 to the stock charge, and $20 for the general membership refund. You will receive that $20 general membership refund back simply by attending the meeting on Sunday at 9am in the covered area by the stalls. All entries for the finals must be in the office by August 30th and checks cleared through the bank before you can compete. When checking in at the finals you will receive a form for election of officers. Please put some thought into who will represent our association for the coming year and fill out those election forms. Finally, rule proposals must be in the office by August 30th in order to be included on the general election agenda. You must be present at the general membership meeting to present your proposal. Stalls: Tie-outs or bring your own own portable pens this year to set up at your trailers. There will be no stalls available this year due to the Fair Board booking a wedding in the stall area. This entire area will be roped off and we have been asked not to access the area until Sunday morning. This includes the bathrooms and showers around the stall areas and we been asked not to park or ride horses up by that area also.
Pay-off for Finals is still being finalized at this time; buckles will be awarded out on Sunday to the finals average champions in each event and the all-around events. Checks will not be available until Sunday with all of your finals winnings paid out on one check for the weekend. In addition, you need to check with your event directors as some have also secured go-round awards for you.
Rodeo & Stock of the Year Awards will be voted on when you check in at the finals and will need to be completed and turned into the office before you are able to compete at the finals. There will also be a Contestant Information Sheet that needs to be completed within your check-in packet that must be turned into the office before you can compete in order to help our announcer fill time during the performance if needed.
